The Mountain Mandarin Festival is a beloved annual tradition that celebrates the arrival of Placer County’s sweetest seasonal treat—the foothill-grown mandarin. Held the weekend before Thanksgiving, this vibrant three-day event marks the official start of mandarin season and brings together farmers, food lovers, and festival-goers for a citrus-filled celebration like no other!
Founded over 30 years ago, the festival has grown into a can’t-miss event, drawing more than 30,000 visitors from across California and beyond. In 2024, the festival moved to a new and improved location at @the Grounds in Roseville, CA, offering expanded space, upgraded facilities, and an even better experience for guests. With thousands of pounds of freshly harvested mandarins from local growers, visitors can taste, sample, and stock up on these juicy, vitamin-packed delights.
But the festival isn’t just about the fruit! Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of mandarin-inspired products, from gourmet jams and infused olive oils to balsamic glazes, barbecue sauces, and even mandarin-scented body care items.
